The reason why he was kicked out from USA is plain simple. He was not afraid to criticize anybody. He said Christianity is poison, and he criticized every politician and Mother Teresa. He called Mother Teresa "Mother Terror". That's why all the churces in USA ganged up and lobbied to oust Rajneesh. That's why he was asked to leave USA for good by the US Govt. Basically Govt. was forced by the churces to take that action.
