Since The law changed .SSN is not required for foreign students .It is required only when you work to file taxes.So , as international students you have no rights to ask for SSN.but even if you find a job on campus and proof that you have been offered job but require SSN then they will process your case. Sorry. because of Terrorist muslims other people from country suffer.The immigration rules started getting stricter after 911. God knows if there is one more attack in USA..may be they will be more tighter regulations.
