I am not expert, but if I was him, the I would sell that car. I am not in US and never been there, so I don't know it is, But I would do a small reasearch if I fix this care the if I can sell it in a good price, so that It does not effect my economy. It is no use just keeping it repairing. Repair it cheap, decorate it nicely and sell it for good prise if you can. If you can't then also sell it for what you get.
