Mahara says 'donation collection' will continue Krishna Bahadur Mahara (File Photo) Coordinator of the Maoist talks team Krishna Bahadur Mahara has said they would continue 'collecting donation' until elections for the constituent assembly are held. Speaking to reporters in Narayangarh, Chitwan on Thursday, Mahara said since the country has two parallel government at present, donation and taxation from their side was necessary for sustenance of the 'people's government'. He said such activities would continue till a single government is formed. He claimed that the King would begin to play once the Maoists laid down their arms but also stressed that their arms would never be an obstacle in the peace process in the country. The seven parties would face difficulties if the king becomes active, he said and urged the seven parties not to stress on disarming the Maoist combatants. He further said Maoists are ready for more flexibility if the seven parties are ready to restructure the Nepal Army. Mahara, who had reached Chitwan on Wednesday to inaugurate the fifth national conference of the Maoist affiliated All Nepal Farmers Association, hinted that summit talks could be held before Tihar to sort out the remaining differences among the parties and adopt an interim constitution. nepalnews.com ia Oct 19 06
