Bostongirl, If she speaks (some) English, then she should be fine. But, if she doesn't, then it is better you find someone who she can accompany. My mom doesn't speak English and she had a lot of problem when she came here. There is a thing called "Meet-and-Assist" that the airlines provide; you may want to request for that service. That will not cost extra. Also, since she is flying from Nepal, you can have your mom or someone there request the travel agency she brought the ticket from to find if there are other Nepalis flying to the same destination.
