If what bineet is saying is true, i dont know why could not government come to conclusion. I know its difficult to trust maoist looking at communist history through out the world. Where they first talk about empowering people and later end up centralizing power at state giving rise to dictators. Anyways at this point giving Maoist a benifit of doubt, may be political party should come to some conclusion. No political party should try to protect Monarcy because Janandolan was seeded with republican agenda. Now it should be entirely left upto people to decide fate of manarchy.... Burden of proof of Maoist commitment for democracy should be on Maoist themself. They have to convince people that future politcs will not be driven by arm as they have been doing so far.... Thye also have to prove that, once they are in power they would not centralize power in state converting it into dictatorial regime... They simply have to do this becouse people are skeptical about their motive because of history of communist in other coutry... (Note: Marx prolaterian (however its spelled) dictatorship was wrongly implemented by lenin. If objective is to empower people, then it should be done by devolution of power... not centralizing it... TO prove their commitment they have time till constitutional assembly election else people will simply reject them... Some might argue that they will use force to win consitutional election.. Hey! by the way people dared to face Kings Army, why would they surrender to Maoist? I assume that Prachanda is wise enough to reconize it.... Since Prachanda is saying that its a 21st century communist moment... and looking at some latiin amercan countries... Maoist do deserve some benifit of doubt as they are saying they are committed to multi marty democracy... but they will have to surrender arms, there is no alternative to it....Looking at Bineets points... seems they are willing to do that if fate of Monarchy will be decided by people....
