At the risk of sounding cynical, goats are killed in the same manner, although probably in lesser numbers, all the time in Nepal. Why use Dasain to bolster the case for vegetarianism? I am a "fish-iterean" and dont eat goat myself but using Dasain to bring up an otherwise excellent point really doesn't do much to further the cause of giving up meat. No one is listening at this time of the year! :)
