I believe ever since men and women are here in earth, they did what they can do to maintain their life. In ancient times, they might have worked together to gather food to survive and when women gave birth, she might have gotten busy with kids and hence men were more responsible for their food. Men are considered as physically stronger than women and were always take care of outside jobs while women took care of household jobs and this trend was continued. even in america, if we ask the people in early 50's, or 60's, there used to be only one person working in a household, men. women used to take care of kids and house. because of high living cost, it became very challenging for a single person to feed kids and maintain house and this is the main reason women started working as well. No doubt, if both parents are working, there would not be good care of kids in that family and kids never get love from their parents and there will not be very strong bond between them as well. I think if women is also working in a house, then she is more stressed out than men, as she most of the time take care of household stuffs as well. This is certainly chanigng, not only in american families but also in other working families. personally I would definitely prefer smart , intelligent girl who can contribute in household stuffs too. Life has become more challenging and we all need work to survive.
