Also, if you have debit card you can withdarw NPR in KTM ATMs. Some bank offer 10k per transaxtion and 30k a day or some bank 30K a day-like Nabil bank. But rate? I do not know either. Now you have two option. Enjoy your cc or dc in NPL. Do not feel bad when you see the statement back in US though. :)
