However, if you haven't started, you start from " The art of living" and " the life of the Buddha". http://www.pariyatti.com/ I myself haven't read these books throughly though :), but I have heard that they are good. I believe in practice. Books just give you inspiration. Bookish knowledge will not transform you. I strongly recommend you to learn the teaching in practice if you are interested.
