Al Qaeda has been so hyped up and has now become synonymous, in the minds of some, with militant Islam. Bin Laden is a small player in militant Islam. The biggest threat of militant Islam comes from failed states like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and to some extent Egypt and Iran.
