Bhunte, you are right about the loss of KU and KUMS. Among the people left after Dr. Arjun Karki left was Dr. Navin Thapa. He had studied medicine and PhD in London came to teach in KUMS. He also did some research work in Harvard. We were all proud that this guy was working in KUMS because the students felt he was making KUMS to be modeled ontop British or American institution. In an anniversary of KUMS, when everyone was flattering Dr. Karki and him for leaving USA and UK to work in Nepal; he said that it was not that he was making sacrifice but it was an honour to work in the place he was born, his motherland. After 5-6 years, he has left to work in UK or USA; I am not sure temporarily or permanently. He must have got fed up with the infightings between Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma, Dr. Ram Kantha and Dr. Arjun Karki. Now People like samir28 can say KUMS is worse than Janaki, and I am ashamed to say, it probably is. I hope Dr. Thapa returns because there are genuinely few people like him. He used to bring sunshine to KUMS with his ready smile and encouragement to students and faculty that they were no less competent than our counterparts in UK or USA.
