I have no reservations against the good named and famed schools whatever few may be out there. Ultimately our efforts should be to bring disproportionate numbers of schools across nations toward thier level. Probably it is still not time to compare among schools when there exists utter asymmetry to the access of public finance and educational resources. There is so much heterogeniety skewness that a meaningful comparison may be only by grouping schools, such as by private, public, or regional, etc. As some members ( i believe they are also the sufferers of education policy in Nepal in the past!!!) here expressed that their eyes were welled up or made them cry, and that is still the reality of the country. A number of schools still lack physical infrasturctures, te achers/teaching resources, and many drops out of school due to affordability and various other reasons. The decade long conflict has aggravated the situation and it is a further setback for the country. The country in itself is not poor but was made poor by myopic vision of "handfools" in the past. There is a whole lot to write but i leave this issue open for further discussions.
