its not about land??? its about religion???!! says who?? first and foremost, it is about land. the holy land, the promised land, the land of jerusalem. in israel and palestine, both sides understand well, perhpas too well,t hat whoever has contorl of this land will hold all the influecen, power, so on and so forth. why is middle east, and not the himalayas or the state of montana ( which can be equally attractive) the hotbed of violence, hatred, suicide bombing, killling, murder, jealousy, .........because this is where the world's major relgions were born. judaism, christiany and islam.....for jews, this is the promised land promised to descendants of david and abram and so on.. for chirstianity, this is where jesus christ was born and walked and for islam, where mohammad was born, traavled, spread his mesages and so forth.....so ofcourse it is about land......foremost about land. secondly, its about power and ego and not being able to forgive waht happend 60 years ago, and what happned 2000 years ago. .if either side had so much faith in thier religion and if they really respected thier doctrines, which say not to kill and not to cuase suffereing etce tc....., why would they ever attack . i have faith in my belief system. that is why i don't come and attack you just because you belong to a different belief system. there is no reason for me to do that. but if you came and took my homeland, killed my people and i grew up wathing this, would i ever be able to fogive you? no! does my religion say not to kill? yes! soooo??? i would not bother waht the doctrine says. you destroyed my life, you destroyed my temples...ofcourse i will kill you. that is not my religion speaking that is my ego and thirst for revenge speaking. and i am not saying this about one side. i am saying this on either side. and please don't make wild assumptions. i am nto anti israel., since its birht, israel has suffered a lot, been under attackes, had its people killed, even had a four year israeli child's head smashed into a rock. taking any one side of any conflict makes a person willing to over look atrocities commited by that side. i would like to take the middle ground here, but all i know is that israel is attacking villages and towns and cities even when it knows very well that it is killing innocent people and that is not justified even if you have been a victim. excuse my spelling mistakes. sajha does not have spelling checker, so it is not my fault.
