Probe gives clean chit to Inspector Timilsina, finds Bharat Keshar guilty By Jitendra Sah KATHMANDU, June 24 - The probe committee formed to investigate the Bharat Keshar Singh case Saturday gave a clean chit to Police Inspector Aabhushan Timilsina of Durbarmarg Police Station. The investigation committee headed by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Ravi Shrestha today concluded that Inspector Timilsina had committed no mistakes during the incident. The report has identified Singh, his two sons and daughter-in-law guilty in the incident and also asked the police authorities to take necessary action against them as per the existing laws. The report said further loss to public property was controlled due to the restraint shown by the locals after police requests. Meanwhile, Sherpa said he was happy with the report of the probe committee. "I am hopeful that I will get justice," Sherpa, who reportedly received death threats from Singh's men, told eKantipur today. The committee also submitted the detailed report to the acting Inspector General of Police, Om Bikram Rana. Inspector Timilsina today rejoined his office after receiving directions from acting IGP Rana. Timilsina was taken to District Police Office, Kathmandu, Hanumandhoka on Wednesday where he was questioned about the delay in reaching the incident site and the inability of the police to bring the situation under control and about the need to handcuff Singh. Earlier on Tuesday evening, angry locals of Lainchaur had beaten up Singh and his two sons in the scuffle that erupted after Singh's car hit a local Angdawa Sherpa's motorcycle in front of the Hotel Malla. The angry people had also torched Singh's car. Timilsina, the inspector of Durbarmargh Police Station, who was at the incident site with his team, was later taken to Hanumandhoka for questioning http://kantipuronline.com/kolnews.php?&nid=77663
