Anoter superb one. I share the bargaining experienced too. There were couple of guys walking around with carpets. when I asked for the price they said 20,000 rupees. Ignorant me would probably have paid 15,000 had it not been for my father who was around to give the 'final price' of 9,000. After much drama - of pretending to leave and coming back with a 'final' price, they finally agreed that it's better to settle at 9,500 than to have to carry the carpet with them the whole day. Bargaining is such an art, and if you've lived in the US for long enough you will not do very well because these merchant can smell the foreign returned Nepalis.
