Koirala's India visit Kathmandu, 6 June: Rumors has been spread within the political circle that PM Girija Prasad Koirala’s visit to India is an Indian intimidation. The Maoists organised a successful mass meeting in the capital city which was attended by tens and thousands of people, writes Jana Bhawana weekly. The government, on the other hand, has denied the rumor and stated that it was Indian PM Manmohan Singh who wished for Koirala’s visit as the Indian government is keen to support Nepal for its prosperity and development works. However, the political circle still seems suspicious regarding PM Koirala’s sudden visit of India as he was previously scheduled to visit Thailand for his medical check up. People’s News/KDB
