i think its more of our own perception and ability to stand for our own self and do what we as an individual feel right ( ofcourse with a sense of responsibility and respecting others as well ) than the culture. majority of the cultural intevene into our life , i think is because of our own narrow sighted mind. and LFC as far as your comment about..if anyone could take an "untouchable" and expect their family to be thrilled......i think its not about trying to make anyone thrilled or anything, its about you being able to show them your reason and help them see beyond the caste thing. this whole caste thing just adds more limitations in our judgement, and makes us more vulnerable and weak.
