I am quite convinced that the group demanding money was not Maoist. One of my relative was robbed of a VERY VERY LARGE sum of money. They openly said they were Khao-badi. As I understand, their leader doesn't go to rob or talk face to face. Yes, the Mao-badis have done extortions. But they would not ask astronomical sum of money. They need to go back again again for a long term. Three groups are in suspicion: renegade Military, Police, or simply organized gangster.
