I understand there is a rampant extortion problem in Kathmandu nowadays, by Maobadis and Khaobadis. Businesses of all sizes are being forced to donate astounding sum of money. Not only that, the private citizens - especially those who have a house, a job, somewhat known in the community and/or have family members(kids) abroad - are also being coerced to give money. One of the consequences is this news of Dr. Dixit being shot. I thought now that the new political situation has evolved, this kind of extortions and violence would end, but sadly that seems not to be the case. Ke garne?
