CNBC-Asia Reports., NEPAL SPA Inc., a joint venture formed by 7 major political forces in Nepal has announced via a press release this morning that the venture will be laying off close to 120,000 temporary protestors hired for the recent Protest against the Dictatorial Regime, King Gyanendra. Talking to CNBC Asia, the premiere of the SPA and the next PM of Nepal, G.P. Koirala said, “Nepal was in a huge economic crisis, and in order to rebuild the economy, we are forced to take this rather unpopular move.” He added, our next government will follow the philosophy of “Rebuild one family at a time” and he said it will start from his family. My daughter, Sujata had to invest heavily during the recent protests, and her stash was depleted. He also added, because of added dual responsibility, the PM and NC’s top leader, he might need few new vehicles with wheel-chair accessibility. On a separate news, RPP, a faction of old King’s regime has announced that they are willing to accommodate 30,000 of the laid off protestors for their protest programs in the near future. RPP premiere added, “Our sound economy as a result of loot from more than 40 years of being in the government can withstand any influx and will have a substantial ROI (return on investment) in 12-18 months by adding those protestors. However, the Maoists groups have threatened to break the pact formed between the SPA and themselves if their supporters are heavily laid off during this process. They complained, “We went through severe injuries to our key personnel during the protests, and the benefits provided to us was sub-standard”. Also reported that this will severely affect their presence in the capital, and a huge mass of their Commanders will have to go underground once again. It is interesting to note that Maoists have threatened to not join the SPA movement anytime soon, and might actually fight their will against the SPAs. With that news coming out, Next PM, GP Koirala is sending his daughter to an Indian State of Bihar to hold talks with the Minister of Bihar on temporary worker program between SPA, and the residents of Bihar. It is learnt that mutual agreement has been reached and Bihar is willing to send as many as 300,000 protesters, under the condition that all 300,000 temporary protestors will be given amnesty in Nepal, and they will be offered permanent residency, and eventually the citizenship of Nepal. The premiere of Bihar has also agreed that if needed, he can talk to the Government officials in New Delhi and if needed, bring more temporary protestors from neighboring Bhutan as well.
