Ok let's see: Bangladesh:---Greatest Joke ( Sorry for being mean but that's how it is) Zimbabwe:---Joke (ditto) New Zealand:---Mediocre team in descent form, could reach up to Semi Final at the most. Sri Lanka :---Descent team. But cup, no way...not this time. West Indies:---Home ground, huge advantage some good players like Sarawan, Chanderpaul, Gayle, Lara...But lacks the magic of Ambrose, Walsh et al in the bowling department. At most can reach the semis. England:--In great form especially after clinching the ashes. Recent defeat in ODI against India could be a setback but they have enough time to prove it again that they are a tough contender. Players to watch : Freddy (Andrew Flintoff) ,Pieterson and captain Vaughan. South Africa:--Broke the record of the highest total ever in ODI by any nation in the most historic one day chase ever against the mighty Aussies recently. I won't be surprised if they clinch the cup this time....however history tells that they are the greatest choker of all. Australia:-- No doubt, the best team at the moment. But again, funny things happen in cricket....personally, they should lose this time for a change (sorry aussie fans). India:--In great form. Batting line up looks deadly dangerous. BUT remember this is in Carribean and some of the pitches in there are bouncy and fast bowlers' paradise so Indians have to watch out. Also, their overseas record is still dismal...have to come up against that odd to emerge as a winner.. Tough challenge ahead of them. Pakistan:---Young team but they are having good time in recent series against England and Sri lanka. Very talented side, as they are always (thats what I admire about them) but they lack discipline and hence consistency. If they can show sincere efforts, there is no dearth of talent in the side to help them get the trophy. A little bit of concern is in the bowling department. With greats like Akram and Younis retired, young guns like Sami, Umar Gul et al and Akhtar have to prove themselves. My prediction Semi finalists:--- India, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa (or England) Finalist:---Pakistan vs Australia Head says Austrralia and heart says Australia....
