Somphee, Kudos! Very well said. To those that insist on beating a dead horse about the lack of qualification for D.V winners: The fact that you are blatant enough to say that you "hate" them as an entire group of people numbering in the thousands for nothing other than their good fortune just shows the very dismal state of your intellect and education. To "Nails" who has been ranting and raving about "I feel like I deserve it more ni," and "what have they done to deserve it". I don't know who you are so perhaps you are a person of exceptional intellect and accomplishments but this is the real world..even Nobel Prize winners have to wait to get their "exceptional ability visa's" to allow them to apply for Permanent Residence! As foreign students in this country, the tuition rates are by no means cheap which means that either you have had to work at gas stations or restaurants to earn your way through college or you are the very privileged child of wealthy parents. If the former, how dare you now crow loud about the embarrassment to you because others are willing to do the hard work to feed themselves, their children and support entire families in Nepal with a mere $1500 or so that they earn at restaurats/gas stations. If you are fortunate enough to be the children of rich parents so that you were not compelled to work, well, then, I suggest you eat more than your fair share of humbe pie and take the time to find out just how hard these folks work and the kind of unbelievable sacrifices they have been forced to make to ensure a better life for themselves and their children As for the supposed need on the part of the U.S Govt to institute measures that allow only PHD's etc to enter, what makes you think that is not already the case? The fact that all you see are people who work in gas stations is your bias and nothing more than that. Have you ever bothered to ask them what they did back home? You would be surprised to know that there are many engineers, doctors, lawyers, professors from Nepal who are not above working at Gas Stations, Restaurants etc to work and survive. Most you you, I presume, are students in the U.S or came as students to this country...for pete's sake use the education you and your parents worked hard for..if not, it's a utter and complete waste of money.
