If you want to be back for sure, you got to cancel your travel buddy. Or You can go to Canada and get a H1 visa and fly on a later date to Nepal. If you don't have indefinite time to get visa in Nepal, don't rely man. Hope that everything settles in a week or two. I am planning to fly in May too, I don't know what the situation would be like in Nepal. Good luck to you, hope US embassy resumes its normal business soon.
