Dude, you are telling me that you took those city rankings from a newspaper..okay that is fine... But the way you are explaining here sounds as if you are sharing your personal experince after living a life in all those cities around the world. Every city has it's own identity, style and vibe. Cities can be compared about particular aspects lets say public trasportaion or weather etc but it will be awefully absurd to compare citites in every aspect. lets say both Salt Lake City, Utah and San Diego, Claifornia are great cities but it will absurd to campare these two cities and tell that San Diego is a better city just because you happen to be a sea-surfer not a mountaineer. Similarly it will be absurd to tell that Salt Lake City is a better city just because you happen to be a mountaineer and not a sea-surfer.
