Amazing i hope you dont live in zurich or geneva. They are great city . even my british friend gets awed when we talk about those cities and they have been to almost everypart of the world from europe, americas and downunder.They also feel berlin, frankfurt and other german cities are great too. 1. My perception of London is it is one of the most complete city. Take an example of sports. Like in american if we have to watch US open we have to go to new york. Then for formula one we have to travel to indianapolis and so on. It is there but more scattered. But london has all in all. London have great football teams like arsenal and chelsea, great venue like wembly, cricket wise it has lords(mecca of cricket) and oval . People here dont need to travel distance to watch tournament. Similarly if you talk about wimbledon the most prestigious grand slam it is in london. 2.I again want to emphasize the point that london won the olympics because the jury thought that it can best meet the standard for players and millions of people who will flock to the city. Paris , madrid, newyork ,moscow lost the battle because there standard was not as good as london. 3.London heathrow airport routes to the most number of destination in the world. People can go to 3 countries scotland, wales, northern ireland without requiring visa. Most student travel to europe after their study because it is easy to get shenzhen visa. Flights are cheap. If you dont like plane go by bus u can see many other countries in between .eg. if u go to germany from u may get to see netherlands and france on the way. 4.Apart from this in UK medicine is free. I dont know about america. But all the people gets free health services. 5.Crime in london is far less compared to america probably london operated under cctv. In america they sell guns in WALMART. 6. Many nepali and indian artist comes and performs every month. I dont think they will do this in any other cities so frequently. 7. Indian movie freaks can watch movies because hindi movies is one of the main market here 8.No cities in the world have as much world class universities as london has. Imperial college, kings college, queen mary are to name the few. 9. London is expensive but u can also make good living if you find good job. It has lots of oppertunities. 10. London pubs, bar are considered in the world. No drinking age. But i have to agree some part of london is dirty like wembly and south hall but it is the places where mostly indians stay (not disrespecting any of indian). Many other places are quite neat. I will still stick to point london is one of the most complete city in the world. Although some cities of switzerland and germany are better.l
