now that i read what you said, i think we are trying to the same thing. she could not be his, so he kills her so that he could stay with the dead body as for getting or not getting the poem, all works of creative writing are open to intepretation. even if a poet means something else, the reader is free to understand that peom from his/her own perspective. no rigid rules and laws required for understanding poems. u can read a poem and intepret one thing and i can read the same poem and intepreet something else....haina ra maiya?
