Racism is diffent than ethnicity. In Nepal, so far I know we have ethinic discrimination or more precisely caste discrimination not racial discrimination. Racism prevails in the U.S. thus, being discriminated based on primarily on physiological differnces (hair, skin, facial features, LANGUAGE) or most importantly putting you in boxes of Asian-American, Afro-American, Mexican-America, etc. Therefore, if we want to discuss about discrimination in Nepal, it woudl be better to address "ethnic" discrimation-bahun, Newar,and Gurung (caste???) -or Indo-Aryan or Tibeto-Burman.
