Check out the two tables above. The one on the right is much more of a square, and the one on the left is much longer and skinnier, right? Wrong! The surface area of each table is actually identical! To prove it, put a peice of typing paper up the screen and VERY LIGHTLY trace over one of outlines of the table top. You'll see that the outline matches perfectly!
