Mr Koirala, The point I was trying to make is that adding fuel to the fire is certainly not going to help. Maybe it's becuase I shun any kind of unnecessary aggression; besides, there is a point to the comments from many that as bahuns, we have always been at a distinct advantage. Perhaps, acknowledging that advantage and realizing that it was given to the Bhauns at the cost of the Rai's, Magar's, Limbus etc behoves us to work to get the rest of Nepali soceity to the point that the Bahuns presently occupy...not continue to tear them down. Thugged out, I don't think asserting the obvious--about the Instutionalized Racisim in America means I see myself as a victim. As for the big hole in my argument that you can supposeldy drive a truck through is concerned, if you are determined to do so...I'm certainly not going to stand in the way. Comparing the response to Katrina to that which the Tsunami recieved is comparaing apples to oranges..the point I made was not reagrding the difference in death toll rather it was about the lack of response to the destruction of predominantly African American areas in New Orleans. I never made the argument that living in Nepal would be far esier than living in the U.S...so I am at a loss as to why you make that point - it has no relevance to the issue of ethnic diversity at hand.
