News from Nepal are very exciting to the followers and disturbing to the opposers of democracy. There is a sign of resignation in the expressions of current ministers. They are looking for the last resort - repression through extreme force, to save the remnants of tyranny. Security mechanisms are ordered to use whatever force needed to disrupt Friday's demonstrations. Army personnels and police are directed to arrest political leaders. They claim that the arrests will scale down the planned demonstrations, which they fear might turn violent and lead to the fall of the regime subsequently. What they have failed to understand is that the mass might go berserk without a proper leadership. Whereas leaders can call for restraint, their absence might trigger disorder amongst the demonstrators resulting into a violent mob. At the same time, when security mechanism is concentrated to curb down Friday's demonstrations, possible maoists attacks in the capital may be more damaging. I wonder the regime has any other priorities than to hanging on power for as many days as it can. To fulfill this objective, the authorities wil exploit the public resources to suppress the opposition. This will lead to bloodshed. The regime is set to fall. It may take a couple of days or weeks or months, but it will definitely fall. Hence to minimise the risk of heavy casualty, the democratic movement in shape, should be very big. The bigger the demonstrations are, the lesser will be the number of martyrs in this movement. The achievements of this democratic movement will be much more than what we got in 2046. This time people will not settle for less power to themselves. The very least achievement will be a powerless, ceremonial monarchy which would not dare to abduct democracy in the future, a constitutional assembly election and the accomodation to the maoists rebels - solution to a decade plus long crisis. Anything more is the inception of the Democratic Republic of Nepal. The writing is on the wall. This is exactly why the Pashupati SJBR faction of the RPP opted not to openly support the King's regime. Kamal Thapa will have no political future, so will be the fate of all the King's men. This is the time to free yourselves from the clutches of slavery. This is the time to be united for freeing ourselves from the dictatorship of the feudal monarchy. Lets not let King Gyanendra to enact brutal tyranny in our backyard in the 21st century. Therefore,

COME AND JOIN THE FORCE OF FREEDOM
