I watched one of his programmes to find that I used to like him to some extent when I was back home. I don't know how good or bad he treats to other persons in real life, but he has his own style of taking interview that is appreciated by many people. Making your own mark is important in a professional career, not many people are able to do that, he did and hence the buzz- positive and negative. He might not be a gifted interviewer like Larry King or Tim Sebastian or David Frost, but than he is one of the best in the business in Nepal. You got to accept that. About arrogance thing, when you have something special up in your sleeve, you tend to be arrogant. He might have been arrogant with some of his guests, but the Amitabh kanda has shown that his charisma shades when he has to face with people who are more famous than him. The problem may occur with any great interviewer sometimes, depending upon the charisma and shrewdness of the interviewee. Most of the times, interviewers are dominant, sometimes they are dominated. In political interviews, the interviewer take chances to pressure the guests to reveal his flaws. Sometimes, this will lead to apparent arrogance. As far as I recall, he interrupts the guest more than needed, he talks about himself when not needed-like maile esto gareko thiye, usto gareko thiye, becomes cheesy; not in all interview though. Apart from that he sounds fine and confident. Don't know more about his journalistic credentials anyways. People are famous for good and bad reasons. One hates or loves you -either for your appreciation or for jealousy- love or hate - both could be either way.
