I thought they would win the game. That's the logical part of my pick. And to the emotional part, I wanted to see them lose. I wanted the Chargers to beat the colts. I knew it was possible for the Bolts to beat the COlts but again it wasn't very likely. Just to be in SAFE side I had to pick Colts in that matchup. Ah... Now you see what I mean bro. Someone above said " NE defense got most of the players back," and I wonder when? Bruschi been playing since week 7, Seymour missed few games. And that's about it. Those guys on INjured REserved list cannot COME back to play this YEAR. Injured Reserved status won't allow players to come back to play in the same season. That's the meaning of it. However, those players on Injured Reserved (IR) list won't be occupying the rooster spot of 53 men. So, the team can sign more players. THe only the thing I can say about our Defense is: we are starting to find some stability and consistency. The guys are starting to fill in their roles and the FRONT 7 had started generating Pressure. Ellis Hobbs (4th round draft pick of 05) starting at Corner opposite Asante Samuels is scary to me. And we still don't know who our Nickle guy is? For those who don't know what Nickle means, it is the Inside Corner Back. OR say SLot Cb for simplification. Usually, it will be the third CB in the depth chart. Maybe Artel Hawkins (who??), and maybe Troy Brown, or someone from the safety spot.. Lots of questions to be answered. But the front 7 (3 linemen and 4 Linebackers from our 3-4 base defense) have been developing good chemistry. I believe Moving Vrabel in the INSIdE linebacker position and letting Colvin play outside linebacker position opposite willie mcginnest was the SINGLE biggest change that had helped our defense. I think the game against MIAMI ( to end the regular season) will be a goood test for us. Miami is on 3 game wins streak and had beaten good teams in the process. But hey its good that we are finding some stability at the right time. ................................................. It hurts to see Favre throw INTS all over the field.
