Free speech and theoretical discussions here aside, I think you guys are yet to understand the real cause of the problems in Nepal. The key is in education. Nepal needs to pursue an aggressive and effective education policy. Historically, educating the population has never been given high enough a priority. In most cases, only elites have had access [or means] to seek any formal education. This hasn't changed much and even the "democratic" governments [after 1990] have failed to address this problem. I have a suspicion that there may be a powerful political force that still sees in its strategic interest to keep the mass uneducated. Just imagine for a second if you didn't know what you now know (like let us say you were only literate--at best!). Then ask yourself about the French Revolution or American Independence, and if that's what Nepal needs. Keep in mind that any successful revolution has to start from the grassroots. You and I have very little role. So again, education is the key. Everything else will follow.
