Seriously? This is wierd, because we might turn out to be related :S No one in your extended family, happens to have an only child to they? Because it would be really funny if I was arguing on the internet with people who turned out to be extended family members. The non purohit nepalese bhumihar/and even brahmins did mix with the mongols (phenotypic evidence), but most purohit did not. But you'll still see some purohit last names with a little mongoloid features (these are usually just 'bauns' with the last name who do not practice being a purohit). You'll also see purohit last named people who are dark-ish. Mostly, it's either a mix of the non-Purohit and bengali brahmins or bihari bhumihars. And yea, the kuire thing does happen. When my dad went to nepal last year for my grandfather's funeral, people in Thamel thought he was a tourist and tried to sell him stuff. Most of the 'bauns' in Nepal do not have a clue on what a real 'brahmin' is. It's funny to see that some people who base their superiority on the caste system are those who do not even actually belong to that caste.
