Excellent question. A research aimed at finding out and learning new stuffs which could be beneficial to living beings in many ways should not be stopped. Of course ethical standard should be maintained while delving into such research activites, but I guess the respective authorities should be more lenient than how they are acting right now when it comes to research involving living beings. After all, all the discoveries we, the living beings, are blessed with right now would not be possible without experimentations and research. One thing is for sure though. A research should be aimed for the benefits for all the living beings and not just human. Just my two cents :)
