For everyone who had to miss the "Citizens' Meeting for Democracy & Peace in Nepal" with Krishna Pahadi last Sunday (November 6th) and still wish to hear what Mr. Pahadi has to say, there is an interaction program with him on Tuesday at NYU: Tuesday November 8, 2005 Amnesty International, NYU presents "Crisis in Nepal: A Former Prisoner of Conscience Speaks" Talk by Krishna Pahadi, founding chairman of the Human Rights and Peace Society and a former Chairman of Amnesty International Nepal, is one of Nepal's most prominent human rights activists. Mr. Pahadi will discuss his time as a "Prisoner of Conscience" for helping to organize a demonstration to protest King Gyanendra's seizure of power on February 1, 2005 and the suspension of fundamental rights in Nepal. He seeks to inform fellow human rights activists of the current crisis in Nepal and what we can do to stop it. Non-NYU students please bring with you a government-issued ID to sign in at the front.
