However, if you don't analyze properly you won't notice the link between them. Similarly, Geeta is the origin of our culture. Geeta is the gist of Hindu and Baudha tradition. Most of the Geeta verses are the discoveries of Buddha and many other Yogis. Our culture, our tradition, our values all are origionated from the Yogic tradition. Yogic tradition teaches us to abstain from sexual misconduct. Virginity is the extended version of that. Virginity is one of the fossils of Yogic tradition. To mention Geeta and Buddha was necessary to write something about Virginity.
