National Anthem

There have been a lots of good political discussions in this site, some of which are very genuine. You all must have given this a thought: How suitable is our national anthem at this present time? I somehow is against the current national anthem which was written quite a while back ... I don't know when. May be it was suitable at that time but now...? I think it doesn't carry any weight, doesn't mention anything about peace, harmony, love amongst the citizens. I'm sure everyone knows the words but I'm trying to put it here just in case someone have forgotten: Shri man gambhira nepali Prachanda pratapi bhupati Shreepaanch sarkar maharaja dhiraja ko sada rahos unnati rakhun chirayu isha le Praja failiyos, pukarau jai prem le Hamiiii nepali saara le Folks, do you see any words that talks about the development of the country? Any message for peace and harmony? It surely talks about giving more births which we probably don't need anymore. Funny side... it is trying to make "Prachande" strong and make king "live" longer. Both are against the development and peace.. at least I believe. I think we have many other songs which are very patriotic and makes people jink when heard. That is whats needed in the national anthem, to make the people think about thier country, touches their hearts. How about songs like: Rato ra chandra surya, jangi nishana hamro Jiudo ragat sari yo, baldo yo saan hamro Yo janmidai jaagat ma kayaun prahar aaye Samrajya dui haare haarena saan hamro or Hati haina dati ladne nepali ko bani huncha kaile najhukne seer utheko swabhimani nepali huncha bishwo ko kuna kapcha ma khoja, nepali ko mutu ma hera tyaha singo nepal huncha, tyaha tinkune jhanda huncha (sorry I changed some words here as I don't think that word is suitable either!) These songs may also have some words that are not worhty singing or listening, but you folks got my idea, where I'm trying to go with this. These are my 2 cents, please feel free to give your thoughts - positive and negetive.. both are welcome! P.S. Shan dai, how about starting a poll on this agenda in Sajha?
