Now Fug sir, It seems that u got ur stats wrong...We were not better off during panchayet regime...The corruption were also skyrocketing those times....it was just that, they won't make headlines as whoever make them headlines would face the consequences just like PADAM THAKURATHI...and if u haven't heard about some of the kandas like pisang kanda,Namita Namrata kanda, Patan Durbar square kanda, and loads of other kandas, then u are ignorant of situations of Nepal those days. Do u even know that more than 30 % of the Jungles of eastern Nepal were deforestrated during 2036 BS elections just to use those money to defeat the democratics... Well these are just few examples...and Do u know how the money that could have been used in building so many othe roads were used solely for Dharan Dhankuta road, just beacuse that was Surya Bahdur Thapa's place. Well list goes on... and About the economic indicators, there were no real on the ground stats at those times, the information system developed so much during the democratic system that real picture came out...and the economic situation of Nepal is just not due to the democratic period but also due to the 300 years of royal and rana tyranny. Well I agree that the corruption and demonstrations skyrocketed during democratic period,But see how much time has democratic system got in our country...Any system should have enough time before it is analysed...That all I can say...
