Dear All, Just wanted to share few things here. Congratulations to everyone for being a part of the largest Nepali Community in the web. Before July 2004, there used to be about 3000 unique visitors to the site everyday. After the ANA, there were approx 6000. Since last week, we seem to be having approximately 10 thousand unique visitors everyday. This is indeed a virtual landmark that we have reached and it is because all of us share this belief and desire to interact with our own people, talk about our Nepal, and reminisce and indulge in our similarities, - and differences - brought about by our common backgrounds. I was enjoying the thread called "Are we alone???" few days back. We are not alone, there are 10,000 of us here everyday! It feels good to know that there are so many of us here. It's good to be a part of this virtual community! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the visitors for making sajha their destination in the web. Thanks for referring sajha to your friends and making sajha a more fun place to be with your participations and for sharing a wealth of knowledge and your opinions and thoughts, stories, poems, anecdotes and for helping to bring us all closer in this virtual ground. There is a new poll "IN YOUR OPINION, DO YOU THINK SAJHA.COM IS POLITICALLY BIASED?" that I have created in order to find out the general opinion regarding this. I have tried to keep away from censorship as much as possible, but few times I have to take action when someone seems to be continuously involved in tasteless political propaganda, or continuously involved in derogatory and inconsiderate behaviors. I would like to keep sajha a free forum where you are free to discuss anything as long as you show basic consideration and respect towards others without getting derogatory or using foul language. This poll is a good indicator for me to find out if I have been successful in welcoming all political thoughts in sajha or not. Please take a few moments to Vote! This year, quite a few other Nepali communities in different parts of the world have decided to share their events and pictures in sajha. Welcome to all of you. It's refreshing to see new pictures from other Nepali communities. Please keep those links coming for all of us to see! The SajhaDance Night on Sept 9, 2005 was a lot of fun because everyone seemed to come together to have fun! By popular demand we are planning to have another one in Boston soon. If you are out of town, make plans to have Thanksgiving in Boston! Hope you all had a great Dashain. Warm wishes for Tihar. Best wishes, San
