War With Iran

I ask, whatever happened to the compassion showed by the great war time Presidents like Roosevelt, or Eisenhower, both of whom served their military duties with "honor and distinction", mind you? Here you have is a President and his neo-con followers, who with sublime skills of media bombardment and corporate lobbyism, took the country to an unprovoked, unsanctioned, pre-emptive war of agression against the hornest's nest that posed no threat whatsoever. But pre-emptive wars are done all the time. And if its urgent and irrefutable, its just another way of saying its a self-defence. And look! all this gauging and fingerpointing and blame gaming, there is another question for the practical people. Do you want to give Bush another chance to do it? What makes you think that he won't make exactly the same kind of mistake? What makes you think that, he is not touching to himself and saying, Iran is next? As grosteque a mistake as it can be to attack Iran, he should and must resort to the Security Council resolution and knock that great door of the United Nations for a diplomatic effort in resolving this crisis.
