jpt, It's not the fault of your media player. First off, reboot the system and try to play the music. If it does not work then the sound card driver in your system is not functioning and or corrupted. So i would suggest you to try in reinstalling the sound card driver in the system. Check out the CDs that your vendor gave to you when you bought your laptop/desktop. One of those CDs should have the driver software in it. HTH
