Parties suspend protest programmes for Dashain Nepaleyes Report Kathmandu, October 4 The seven-party alliance has decided to suspend its protest programmes during Dashain. ?We have decided that we will not be organising any protest programmes during Dashain as everyone has to celebrate the Nepalis' biggest festival,? Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, spokesperson of the Nepali Congress, told Nepaleyes. He, however, said that activities like campaigning and distributing pamphlets will go on as scheduled. He further said the next phase of the protest programmes will be announced only after the festivals.
