fountaindew,
When Buddha was born there was no Nepal as of now. Kapilvastu was a tribal state which paid it's tribute to the state of Maghada. Buddha probably spoke Magadhi language. the whole area came under Bharat Bharsha. that is the truth. i don't want to fo into details but I suggest u to read the history book written by Percival Landon to read what the perception a great Buddhist monk had of Nepala (that we know as Ktm valley). He came to india during the time of Emperor Harsha's reign but did not enter ktm valley. he heard stories that it was inhabitated by savages.
Yes, u are absolutely right. i went to india for my education and my parents are indians. are u happy now? if telling the truth invokes calling names so be it.
it's 5 am i need to go now.
