bhangli_damini sanga chai bihe ko barema sallaha lina parla. tara dui tin barsa pachi bihe garchu, ani... je hos, timilai yesto kura haru kasari aucha? timro band baja baji-sakyo ki kasso? anyways, i thought the muji thing was pretty funny. however, i am wondering how you are going to get away with having to define muji (the nepalese version) in class while keeping a straight face. sounds like a tough proposition to me... lemme give you another example of cross-cultural differences that, in the absence of local knowledge can prove disastrous. consider the nepali (or south asian culture generally) sign that's used to ask someone if they want to eat. you know, when you have your thumb touching all your other fingers pointed upwards. well, it turns out that that same sign is used by the italians to say fuk you. so imagine some italian dude who goes to an indian restaurant, and the owner gestures to him saying "do you wanna eat?"
