My two cents: I grew up in a family where my mother had a different political leaning, my father another, my two kakas another. I, on the other hand had no interest in politics-( as were some other members of my family.) when we used to get together- and we were a very tight knit family so we got together quite often- we made it a point to steer clear of topics that involved politics, simply because it was more of a 'forum' for all to enjoy and not impose someones beliefs on how a system should be run and argue all night. I am proud to say we are still that way, and we have a very healthy relationship with each other. Moral of the story: it has nothing to do with who is leaning towards what, it is more about respecting some one else's inclinations. Politics may be very important to some, but there are also many others who could care less about it. Please be aware of that. Peace.
