52 RNA Men in Custody will be Treated Humanely say Maoists THT Online Kathmandu, August 10 The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) today said they have taken 52 army men in their custody after the clash in Pili of Kalikot district on Sunday night. Denying the Royal Nepal Army?s charge that the Maoists had shot dead 40 army men keeping them in a line after taking them under control, the Maoists said ?Had we killed the Royal army men after taking them under control, there would have remained no question of taking 52 under control.? A statement undersigned by the Maoist supremo Prachanda today said the charges made against them were nothing more than a lie. Assuring of proper treatment of the army men in custody, the statement said the army men would be released after a ?proper process in appropriate time?.
