This is just in my quest of trying to learn the thing But it looks to me that this is where I differ with what Nepe dai believes 1. I opine that the current "mainstream" "political" parties are entangled with such a complex nexus of filthy opportunists, at every level of their hierarchy, tht it is impossible to clean them vertically. For instance, lets take Nepali Congress. For its "mahadhiveshan", the hierarchy goes like you conduct a ward-level conference in Nagarpalika level and a VDC-level conference in VDC- they will choose a regional (4-5 VDCs) representative who will vote 3-4 "mahasamiti" representatives out of an election constituency (205 wota). Each, again EACH, of such ward or VDC-level representative is a pure crook. How would you wash them with "jau" "til", "kush", "bel-patra" and "ganga-jal" and ever chastise them? Its next to impossible. In UML, its a complete black-box and all the party is just the whim of Makune a bunch of his flunkeys. You never know when they will "quarterly" correct the regression and join Gyanendra, they are the most hypocrites, for sure. Forget Maoists, there are a lot of "deshbhakta" but dont forget they are fighting for Nepal. I dont like any violence as such but when i compare the RNA and the PLA, I see that PLA is fighting for Nepal whereas RNA is fighting for Gyanendra; sorry I am a staunch kangressi- it just turned out a while ago when I got 'enlightened'... 2. The local-level party workers of these "parliamentarian" parties, let me say 80% of them, in villages are the same old Panchas. During Panchayat, they used to be Lokendra goot-against Thapa goot, now if one is Kangressi, the other is UML and so on. They are not there with a political aptitude, they are there for a LIVING. Yeh, its a bitter truth, examine these faces, maybe the scions have succeeded their parents but the VDC-chairman comes from almost the same family as the old pradhan-panch did, only the "chunav-chinha" has changed, nothing ideological has changed. But for the voters, A LOT has changed, it has become "awareness" from "dissatisfaction". So, cleansing and bleaching these parties is just not possible and if these crooks again lead the next revolution, they will make a mess out of it- jhan khana napaka lai kera payo, bokrai sita khayo bhane jastai. 3. Then what is the solution, given the fact that normally who calls a successful revolution sweeps thro the power balance in the aftermath- well, fortunately, we have a very sincere and well-informed while frustated civil society. If the civil society leads it, they have the highest moral prowess as well as the highest moral commitment. And when the civil society leads, it is easy for the sincere and honest guys from every political establishment to come to support them and in the aftermath, hence the polarization. As they will be highlighted after a successful movement, the crooks and "asur" like Girijasur et-al will go into oblivion. This is my proposal of the least expensive revolution with "horizontal cleansing" rather than a "vertical cleansing" within the party bodies. Keep rolling...
