It's fair to say from 1990 to 2004, there were really no noteworthy Nepali poems, stories and works of literature.
Does anyone remember any poems, stories, novels written during that time?
In 1997, when I requsted Khagendra Sangraula to draw up a reading list of Nepali literature, almost all the books on his list were published in the '60s and the '70s,
with a few in the early '80s.
Could it be that ONLY during times of crises we are capable of producing heart-stirring works of literature that resonates with the public at large?
